About Gabriela M.C.

My Story

Gabriela M. C. is the daughter of Mexican immigrant parents, born on March 3, 1993, in Hollywood, California, and raised in Baldwin Park, California. Gabriela began mentoring teens and young adults when she was fifteen years old and was the first person to complete the “fast-track graduation program” at her local high school.  Gabriela graduated from the University of California Los Angeles in 2012 with a bachelor of arts in sociology at the age of nineteen and received her master in social work from the University of Southern California in 2016. On June 12 of 2020 Gabriela and her family opened the doors to Postres Cafe in Bellflower, CA and continues to mentor other women interested in entrepreneurship by hosting workshops at the cafe every month.

Gabriela is now a mother of two, wife, and entrepreneur dedicated to mentoring youth in underrepresented communities pursuing higher education by sharing her story and encouraging others to share their own.

Personal Life

Specializing in youth, Latina motivational speaker, Gabriela M.C., offers a unique experience to children of immigrant parents, first-gen college students, and those who wish to become entrepreneurs who aren’t naturals at it.

Figuring out what it is you want to do for the rest of your life is one of the toughest things you have to do. Don’t worry if you don’t have it all figured out by the time you’re 18. If your heart is in the right place, you can trust that the universe will have your back. Explore as many avenues as you can and enjoy the ride. Finding your purpose is all about the journey.
